1. Who we are

Testini is an online exam-practice platform operated from Tunis, Tunisia. We are the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us at contact@testsini.com.

2. What we collect

  • Account data: name, email address, optional phone number, password (stored only as a secure hash) or your Google account identifier if you sign in with Google, and your profile picture if you add one.
  • Exam activity: your answers, scores, timing, results and study progress.
  • Essays and writing: the texts you submit for checking or grading.
  • Speaking recordings: audio you record in speaking exercises and its transcript.
  • Purchases: points, transactions and invoices (we do not store full card numbers).
  • Technical data: basic logs and error reports (page address without query string, browser type, error details) used to keep the service working.

3. Why we use it

  • to create your account and provide the practice service you asked for;
  • to grade your work, show your progress and generate feedback;
  • to keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems;
  • to contact you about your account or answer your requests.

Our legal bases are performing our contract with you, our legitimate interest in running and securing the service, and your consent where we ask for it.

4. AI processing and service providers

To give you feedback, the text of your essays and answers, and the audio or transcript of your speaking recordings, may be sent to AI services operated by Google (Gemini) and Microsoft (Azure, for example for speech processing). These providers process the data on our behalf to return a result. We also use hosting and database providers to run the platform. Some of these providers are located outside Tunisia and the European Economic Area; where that is the case we rely on appropriate safeguards. We do not sell your personal data.

AI feedback is generated automatically and is meant to help you practise; it is not an official evaluation.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your account data and exam history while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data, including essays and recordings, within a reasonable period (normally 30 days), except where we must keep some records for legal or accounting reasons. Error logs are kept for a limited time.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR in the EU and Tunisian data protection law) you can ask us to give you access to your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or give you a copy in a portable format. You can also withdraw consent at any time and complain to your data protection authority. To use any of these rights, email contact@testsini.com. We may need to confirm your identity first.

7. Cookies and local storage

We do not use advertising cookies. Testini stores a small amount of data in your browser (localStorage) that is needed for the service to work: your sign-in token, temporary caches that make pages load faster, drafts of your writing, your in-progress exam answers and timer (so a refresh does not lose your work), and a few display preferences. This data stays on your device and is cleared when you log out. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, and embedded videos may load from YouTube or Vimeo, which can set their own cookies.

8. Children

Testini is not intended for children under 16. If you are under 16 you must have the permission of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal data without permission, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

We protect your data with encrypted connections, hashed passwords and access controls. No online service is completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest version.
